Second Chibok schoolgirl rescued from Boko Haram 'is a FAKE': Girl's name does not tally up with known list of victims
Campaigners
for the kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls in northeastern Nigeria have
raised doubts today about the army's report that a second girl from the
group of abductees has been rescued.
The
girl was named by the army as Serah Luka and was claimed to be part of a
group of 97 women and children rescued by the army and vigilantes in
the Damboa area of Borno state yesterday.
It
was claimed Serah was the daughter of a Christian pastor and had only
been at the school for two months when she was kidnapped by Boko Haram
militants, along with 218 of her classmates.
However
only two girls with the surname Luka were on the list of abducted girls
and none was from Madagali, in neighbouring Adamawa state, as the
military said the second student had claimed.

Freedom: 19-year-old Amina Ali was
found with her four month old baby and a man she said is her husband two
years after she was kidnapped by Boko Haram alongside 275 other
schoolgirl's preparing for exams
The
head of the Abducted Chibok Girls Parents group, Yakubu Nkeki, said
unlike the first announcement about Amina, the military had not
contacted them beforehand to establish the second girl's identity.
Nkeki also said there were only four priests on the list of parents and none was called Luka.
'I
can say in my capacity as the head of the Chibok Abducted Girls Parents
group that this girl is not among the abducted Chibok girls,' he told
AFP.
The
head of the BringBackOurGirls campaign group in Abuja, Oby Ezekwisili,
said they were 'overjoyed' at the rescue but tweeted: 'We have asked for
some further verification of her identity.'
A
senior military source stood by the army's statement, saying it was
'beyond reasonable doubt' that she was among the girls snatched.
'The
military personnel who carried out the rescue operation and the
civilian vigilantes who assisted them and those who know the girl
confirmed that she is among those abducted,' he added.
'We
can only change our position if the principal of the school or the
government of Borno state come out and refute this established identity
of the girl.'
Army
spokesman Colonel Sani Usman 'confirmed the rescue of another Chibok
girl this evening', a statement said, without giving further details.

Amina's mother Binta revealed she
didn't think she would ever see her daughter again - and expressed her
gratitude to her rescuers and to God for Amina's safe return
The
first of the 219 abducted students - 19-year-old Amina Ali - was found
on Tuesday with the four-month-old baby she gave birth to in captivity.
The
19-year-old was found after her 'husband' - a Boko Haram fighter who is
thought to have been a commander in the terror group - decided to move
to the edge of the forest in search of food.
The army has cut off many of the supply routes which had been providing the fighters and their captives with food.
Nigeria's
military has been mounting an offensive in the sprawling, semi-desert
scrubland since late April to flush out rebel fighters.
Amina,
who met with President Muhammadu Buhari at his official residence in
Abuja earlier on Thursday, was quoted as saying by a campaign group
pushing for the girls' release that all the students were still being
held in the former game reserve, but that six had died.
The
Nigerian government has come under criticism for not rescuing the girls
sooner, but Buhari said the government was 'doing all it can to rescue
the remaining Chibok girls'.
'Amina's rescue gives us new hope, and offers a unique opportunity for vital information,' he said in a statement.
Borno state governor Kashim Shettima said soldiers were 'already moving into the forest aggressively'.
'I
am an eternal optimist. I believe that in the coming days and weeks
more recoveries will be made,' he told reporters on Thursday, just hours
before the news of the second rescue.

investigation, the rescued girl and her baby were handed over to Borno
State Governor Kashim Shetima, at Government house, Maiduguri in the
evening by the Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Brigadier
General Victor Ezugwu after a brief ceremony.
The statement said Amina Ali will be brought to Abuja along with her
parents to meet with Mr. President on Thursday.
“Meanwhile, the supposed husband is undergoing further investigation at
Joint Intelligence Centre” the statement said.
“It should be noted that Mohammed Hayatu is well treated in line with
Operation Lafiya Dole’s Rules of Engagement regarding insurgents who
voluntarily surrender to the military” it added.

Ifeanyi Ubah's Love Letter To Wife On Her Birthday
Capital
Oil boss, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah wrote a sweet, loving letter to his wife,
Uchenna as she turns a year older today.......read the letter below..
MY LITTLE LOVE LETTER TO MY JEWEL OF INESTIMABLE VALUE ON HER SPECIAL DAY
I can remember vividly the first time I set my eyes on her. I was 22 and she was 20. It was not difficult to see her invaluable worth. Within a short space of time and with much excitement, I had concluded she was going to be my wife. At the age of 22, she became my wife after paying her bride price. The blessings she brought into my life started to manifest in no time as I moved into a 2-storey building I built under 2months and 3weeks at the age of 22. To the glory of God, we eventually wedded in 1997 at Muson centre, Lagos. I was 26 years at the time and she was 24 years. All these were rare feats!
From then onwards, the good tidings of love has been evident in our lives. She has been a rock, my solid rock. Her entrance into my life opened doors, shattered barriers, leveled mountains and made me soar. This treasure stood by me through thick and thin, even at my lowest ebb. You see, the bible never lies. As the word of the Lord says "he who finds a wife, findeth a good thing"...In my case, I FOUND THE BEST THING! I will and could never ask God for more. Taking a stroll down memory lane and life as we started it, the struggles, the bliss, the highs and the lows, all the beautiful moments we have shared, there is no doubt that you have been an immense blessing to me.
Obim, I honor you on this special day, for being a solid pillar of strength and support all through the years. Since we started this journey over 20 years ago, your belief and confidence in me has been resolute, giving me a steady platform to build on. Through the good times and bad, you stood firmly behind me, helping me withstand the true test of time, growing with you, by you and growing closer each passing year. My strength lies in you, Uche. My renewed strength comes from the assurance of your ability and capacity to take charge of the home front while I do battle on the field. You see...you are the best partner I could ever dream of. We are the best team! Even while I am on the battlefield daily, with all the hostilities and struggles, you are always behind me and knowing that I have a woman who has got my back, even when it's against the wall fills me with so much confidence.
At this juncture, I wish to thank for everything, absolutely everything you represent and have done for me. Words can never be enough to exhaustively explain what you mean to me. You have blessed me in countless ways, of which being the caring and resourceful mother of our 5 beautiful children is the zenith.
Despite being highly misunderstood and sometimes controversial, you have always been that one person who understood me totally, seeing beyond everyone else, seeing beyond the veil. I want to thank you for tolerating me and all my controversies. Over the years, the countless advice and counsel gotten from your well of wisdom has keep my foot on the ground. Today, I am afloat because of you.
Inasmuch as I recognize the fact that words are inadequate to gush about my thoughts and feelings for you, I intend to use our book which would be published soon to illustrate exhaustively what you mean to me, even though that might just scratch the surface.
My love, as you reach another milestone today, my earnest prayer is that God grants us the grace to understand and love each other more and more with each passing day. You have been a virtuous wife, an extraordinary friend, a wonderful mother, a reliable confidant and a precious vessel which God has used to bless me immensely.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY ANGEL.

Fuel price increment is Buhari’s wickedness taken too far, it’s fraudulent - Fayose
Read the press statement below...
He said labour unions, civil society organisations and other well-meaning Nigerians should stand up and be counted at this crucial time in the life of the common people of Nigeria, adding that “there is no justification for the increment at this period when government is not paying salaries regularly, Nigerians are losing their jobs daily, prices of foodstuffs have gone over the roof and life has become so difficult for the common people.
To labour Nigerians with this increment is wickedness taken too far!” In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said; “In 2012 when the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government of Dr Goodluck Jonathan removed fuel subsidy and increased petrol price to N141 per litre, crude oil was selling at $111 per barrel.
How then can petrol price be increased to N145 per litre when crude oil is now selling at $40 per barrel? “It is on record that on May 2 this year, the federal government, in the Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) Template released in Abuja, told Nigerians that it was subsidising petrol at N12.62 per litre. “If as at May 2, petrol was being subsidised at N12.62 per litre, and now that the subsidy of N12.62 has been removed, what ought to have been added to the N86.50 pump price should be N12.62, which would have increased pump price to N99.12 per litre.
“Increasing petrol pump price by N58.50 when the federal government claimed it was subsidising the product at N12.62 per litre is clear political 419, which is aimed at further impoverishing Nigerians as the government will be making profit of N45.88 on each litre of petrol bought by Nigerians.
“How can any government with human feelings attempt to make profit of N45.88 per litre on Nigerians, who are no longer getting their salaries regularly? How can Buhari and his party impose another N45.88 per litre levy on Nigerians who are already facing severe hardship?
This is wickedness!” Speaking further, Governor Fayose said there was no justification for the removal of subsidy and increment of petrol pump price to N145 per litre now that crude oil price is $40 per barrel when the same product was increased to N141 per litre in 2012 when crude oil was $111 per barrel. While describing President Buhari as a hypocrite, the governor said; “Nigerians should be reminded that the president once said that petrol subsidy never existed and that it was a fraud. How then can the same President Buhari tell us that he has removed the same subsidy he claimed never existed?
“The reality is that these people lied to Nigerians too much. They made promises they knew they won’t fulfil just to get to power. Now they are showing Nigerians their true colours. They are showing Nigerians that they have come to punish them with hardship.
“Buhari and his APC promised to reduce petrol pump price to from N87 to N45 per litre; petrol is now N145. They promised to create three million jobs per year; they have instead created millions of unemployment. They said $1 will be equal to N1; $1 is now N320. They promised to create better live for Nigerians, they have instead created hardship by making prices of basic commodities to skyrocket through their lack of policy direction.”
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said that President Mohammadu Buhari and his All Progressives Congress (APC) were playing Nigerians Advanced Fee Fraud over the removal of fuel subsidy and increment of pump price from N86.50 to N145 per litre, describing the increment as wickedness taken too far and asking; “was the federal government paying up to N58.50 as subsidy on one litre of petrol before now?”Governor Fayose, who reiterated his call on Nigerians, especially the labour movement to resist what he called “this wicked act of President Buhari and his party”, added that; “those who opposed removal of fuel subsidy in 2012 and funded the Occupy Nigeria protest must not be allowed to get away with this imposition of hardship on Nigerians now that they are in power.”

Nigerian man nabbed in India
Nigerian man nabbed in India with Marijuana worth Rs 1.95 lakh
The anti-narcotics cell (ANC) of the city crime branch on Monday May 9, arrested a
Nigerian man from Krushna Bazaar chowk in Sangvi, India for allegedly
possessing Hashish (marijuana) worth Rs 1.95 lakh. A
team headed by police inspector Shrikant Navale and assistant inspector
Ajay Waghmare arrested Onyekachi Namika Uchenna (26), currently staying
at Masjid Bundar in Mumbai.
The ANC team which was patrolling on Friday night became suspicious of
Uchena's presence at Krushan Bazaar chowk and decided to question him.
He was detained and Hashish was recovered from him during frisking.
A case against Uchenna has been filed with the Sangvi police station. It was revealed during the investigation that Uchenna came to India two and a half years ago.
However, it was not known what type of visa he used to come to India. He told the police that he bought the Hashish from Delhi.
Police also found during investigation that he was not carrying any cash or a valid passport on him.

NLC vows to resist fuel increase
"The unilateral increase in prices of petroleum products today by government represents the height of insensitivity and impunity and shall be resisted by the Nigeria Labour Congress and its civil society allies. With the imposition on the citizenry of criminal and unjustifiable electricity tariff and resultant darkness and other economic challenges brought on by the devaluation of the Naira and spiraling inflation, the least one had expected at this point in time was another policy measure that would further make life more miserable for the ordinary Nigerian. The latest increase is the most audacious and cruel in the history of product price increase as It represents not only about 80 per cent increase but it is tied to the black market exchange rate. Further more, the process through which government arrived at this is both illogical and illegal as the board of the PPPRA is not duly constituted. In our previous statements and communiques, we had stressed the need for reconstituting the boards of NNPC and PPPRA and wean both away from the overbearing influence of the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources who has assumed the role of a Sole Administrator. The allusion to the fact that the this increase was arrived at after due consultation with stake holders is not only ridiculous and fallacious, it goes to show that the brief meeting held today during which government was advised shelve the idea until at least it meets with the appropriate organs of the Congress was in bad faith. Accordingly, we urge the government to revert the prices to what they were. We would want to put everybody on notice that we shall resist this criminal increase with every means legitimate. Already an emergency NEC meeting has been scheduled for Friday, May 13, 2016 to decide on the next line of action. Meanwhile, our affiliates, state councils and civil society allies are requested to commence mobilization immediately.”

'I hope we don't have a replay of the Odi massacre in 1999' - Bayelsa gov warns militants
Over 100 people including women and children were killed after former President Obasanjo allegedly ordered the military to attack Odi people on November 20th 1999 following the killing of 12 soldiers by some militant in the state.
Seriake's fears is expressed in a statement released today by his Chief Press secretary, Daniel Iworiso-Markson
“The Bayelsa State governor has condemned in very strong terms, the recent unprovoked attack and killing of four security personnel in Nembe Creek and three Naval personnel in Foropa community in Nembe and Southern Ijaw local government areas of the state and other parts of the Niger Delta region. According to him, such unwarranted attacks on the nation’s security personnel were putting the state and the region in bad light, and also putting the innocent ones in the state and the Niger Delta region in danger. While warning that the government of Bayelsa State does not want a replay of the Odi massacre in 1999, during the administration of ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, where only the innocent people suffered the brunt of the military invasion, the governor called on community leaders and other stakeholders to check the activities of youths in their domains. As part of the steps to check the activities of the youths, the unwholesome trend and improve the security situation in the state, he said community leaders, elders and other stakeholders would be summoned to a meeting at a date to be announced later"the statement read

do you want to look young forever?this all you need to do
While celebrities who, in their mid-forties, look younger than they
did in their twenties roam the streets, the pressure is on for the rest
of the world to keep up. It gets so serious for some women that they
refuse to leave their house without makeup. Extreme? Absolutely. But it
doesn't have to be. There's a way to maintain a flawless visage without
face goop OR extensive surgery. I know because I went in search of it.
Fake a facelift and maintain a youthful glow with these tips.
When I was 17 years old and people went on and
on about how young I looked (some saying it in an attempt to make me
feel insecure), I actually loved it. I knew that my baby face would
eventually serve me well. All it took was one glance at my ageless
mother to put my mind at ease. Surely I was blessed with good genes and
wouldn't have to worry about silly wrinkles.
I was determined to be carded at bars until the age of 30. Now well
into my twenties, I'll confess that that dream died a few years ago
(taking a piece of my soul with it). Stupid adulthood - 1, me - 0. I had
to do something about it.
It's not that I think I look haggard or anything, but I remember a beautician once telling me that anti-aging starts now. It's better to prevent a problem than to scramble around later looking for a cure. So you know what I did? I headed to LING Skincare and got their Energy Life Facial with Body Wellness.

It's better to prevent a problem than to scramble around later looking for a cure. So you know what I did? I headed to LING Skincare and got their Energy Life Facial with Body Wellness.
The process
begins with 20 minutes of Energy Lift heat therapy on the back, neck,
shoulders, and spine, then transitions into a Triple Peel Facial. This
includes a Glycolic Peel and a Papaya Enzyme Peel, said to digest dirt
and impurities, before finishing with an acid-free peel. Then comes the
pore by pore extraction (if your face is clogged be prepared to feel
slightly uncomfortable with this part).
Once that's all said and done you're treated to an Herbal Clay Clarifying Mask to detoxify pores, followed by a blended Ginseng Herbal Moisturizing Mask that provides some much needed soothing while alleviating any inflammation. The facial eventually comes to a close with anti-aging ingredients such as Apple Stem Cell and the DoNotAge Cellular Youth Extension Cream; both stimulating collagen growth.
When I left my face felt fresher than it had in years, though it was admittedly a little sore from the extraction. In the following days my skin had a noticeable brightness to it. I was pleased.
While I was satisfied with my results from LING, I wondered what causes skin to age in the first place, and what else was out there that could help preserve youth. I got in touch with award-winning cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Doris Day for a little Q & A that included an explanation of EndyMed treatments.
Here's what the doctor had to say.

Here's what the doctor had to say.
What are some causes of wrinkled and dull skin? How can we combat that?
Most
of the wrinkles you see are caused by exposure to the sun over years.
We’re also learning that some wavelengths of infrared are also harmful
to the skin and some sun protection products are starting to incorporate
protection against IR.
Can I get a little background on EndyMed? How long has it been around and how does it work?
EndyMed
was first founded in 2007, and has been making significant advances in
aesthetic treatments primarily through the use of its proprietary 3DEEP®
radiofrequency technology. It works by using radiofrequency to
stimulate your body’s own natural collagen production, a unique approach
that provides a great solution for wrinkle reduction treatment, skin
tightening, scar treatment and body contouring.
What EndyMed treatment would work best for "faking a facelift"?
There are two treatments that are applicable to the face: 3DEEP® Facial Tightening hand piece and Intensif Microneedling.
EndyMed’s 3DEEP® Facial Tightening hand piece can smooth wrinkles and can tighten and shape the face and neck with deep, volumetric dermal heating that stimulates your body’s own natural production of collagen. This treatment is non-invasive and has no downtime – quite literally can be a ‘lunch time procedure’ and gives natural-looking results.
EndyMed’s new radiofrequency microneedling hand piece, the Intensif, provides an incredibly effective method to achieve skin remodeling by reviving and rejuvenating the natural production of new collagen and elastin. This treatment can be used to address the appearance of acne scars, deep wrinkles, stretch marks and dilated pores, is minimally invasive and also has little to no downtime.

Walk us through the treatments, step by step. How does it all go down?
First,
the targeted area will be covered with a topical and then the hand
piece is run over the designated area for 15-20 minutes – the 3DEEP®
Facial Tightening hand piece feels like a hot stone massage and the
Intensif microneedling hand piece is relatively painless.
What problem areas do they specifically target?
Beyond the face and neck, EndyMed can actually
be used to target the entire body – from cellulite over the knees to
sagging skin on the arms to stretch marks on the abdomen, there are
countless ways EndyMed can help our patients.
How do these specific treatments give skin a brighter, younger look?
By
boosting your body’s own natural collagen production, the treatment is
turning back the clock – almost literally! There is an immediate short
term benefit – you’ll leave the office looking like you’ve just had a
facial – but the great thing is that over the coming weeks and months,
your appearance will continually improve as the collagen continues to
renew.
Are there any risks or side effects involved with these treatments? If so, what are they?
EndyMed is actually the safest and most effective treatment on the market. There are a number of safety measures that make this a relatively painless and side effect-free treatment. I’ve been particularly impressed with how well my patients tolerate the treatment and are loving the results
